Obsi Drive is intentionally explicit about what remains linked, what becomes protected, and what can create variable cost.

Do I have to move everything into Obsi Drive?

No. Obsi Drive becomes useful by connecting and indexing the storage you already use first. Durable linked files stay at their provider until you intentionally protect a copy.

Can I connect more than one account?

Yes. Governed plans support multiple source accounts. Reconnecting the same account updates that connection instead of intentionally consuming another slot.

How does Google Photos work?

Google Photos uses the Picker flow. You explicitly select media and Obsi Drive imports protected copies while the Picker session is valid; it does not pretend short-lived Picker URLs are durable linked files.

What does canonical mean?

One logical file can have several locations. Obsi Drive keeps those locations visible together, uses exact hashes when available, and treats probable duplicate matches conservatively.

What stops automation from creating a surprise bill?

Storage, ingress, proxied transfer, API usage, processing, and connected-account capacity are tracked separately, with hard plan limits and spend safeguards.
